Sitting here in tears. Yes, He knows which miracles we need. He did not heal my husband of pancreatic cancer. Instead, He tenderly opened His arms to me and invited me to walk more closely with Him in my sorrow. He knew EXACTLY what I, His child, really needed! I have been blessed beyond what I could imagine. Thank you for sharing!
Teresa, while I have not experienced your particular grief, I have often thought that the difficult times through which I have walked I would not have chosen, but I would also not want to be without the lessons I learned or the faith I gained through them. Our Savior uses it all, weaving it into that lovely tapestry we will not see completed until our time on earth is done. Thank you for sharing your heart and the Lord’s goodness. Lifting you up to the Father this very moment.
Thanks for sharing your story. Our response to answered prayer is always with praise and thanksgiving. Our response to unanswered or negatively answered prayer should also include praise and thanksgiving, but that’s not nearly as easy.
Praise God. Healing is His calling card. “News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them” (Matthew 4:24).
Wow! That is a fantastic testimony to the comfort we receive from our faith in Him. A perfect example of casting your cares on Him. We are blessed He saw fit to rescue you for this testimony (among other things). I believe God expects us to learn how Jesus felt, including His total dependence on the Father, by experiencing these sufferings so we can praise Him with even deeper understanding of the magnitude of His sacrifice. Blessings to you and your family.
