Heal Our Hearts
Please join me in prayer.
Hello Friends,
The following is a prayer written from a place of sadness and hope, despair and faith, and confusion and clarity, for this is the believer’s continual dichotomy of existence on this earth. We grieve, yet we hope. We are dejected, yet we believe. We don’t understand, yet we see that His promises are true.
Pray with me?
God Most High,
We come to you humbly, in deep grief for the loss of Charlie Kirk.
We come to you in praise and thanksgiving that even in the depths of despair, you illuminate the darkness with hope and peace and assurance of eternal life.
We come to you rejoicing that the instant Charlie took his final earthly breath, he breathed in the pure, glorious presence of Christ when you received him into your everlasting kingdom. Thank you that his faith has been made sight.
Lord, thank you for uniquely raising up Charlie Kirk to do what no other person could do the way he did it. Multiply his work for your kingdom by drawing countless souls to salvation in Jesus Christ. Multiply his efforts to share eternal truth that repudiates the deception of this age. Bring about the harvest of souls so that the seeds Charlie planted and watered come to fruition before our very eyes.
Millions of us did not know him personally, yet we grieve because it feels like we did know him. Through Christ’s wondrous work of redemption, we shared fellowship with Charlie in your Spirit. We thank you for that spiritual community and connection that this world does not understand but needs desperately.
As our nation and the world grieve his absence from earth, we ask that you command your angels to guard every event and render powerless those who seek further destruction. Surround Charlie’s family and friends, our leaders, and every attendee with fearsome warriors to thwart every evil plot. Pour out your Spirit to comfort and inspire as only you can. Show yourself mighty in the earth.
Especially as thousands plan to gather on September 21, 2025, in Glendale, Arizona for the formal memorial service, we ask that you build a wall of warriors around the city that is impenetrable by evil. May every word spoken reflect your truth, every chorus sung proclaim your praises throughout the earth, and every prayer breathed rise as holy incense before your throne.
Oh Lord, hear our prayers. Heal our hearts. Save our sons and daughters, our cities, and our nation.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.
