Heaven's Light

Light came down, love profound . . .

Hello Friends,

I pray these words speak hope and assurance and joy to your spirit on this Resurrection Sunday and always.

Heaven’s Light

Light came down, love profound
Wrapped in swaddling clothes;
Mercy’s song in infant’s cry,
The child who was born to die.

Salvation through His saving blood
Spilled on Calvary’s cross;
Darkness fell, Savior cried,
“It is finished,” then He died.

Body wrapped, laid to rest,
Soldiers sealed the tomb;
Third day came, Savior rose,
Laid aside His burial clothes.

Wrapped in light, left the grave,
Angel rolled the stone away;
Glory to the living Lamb,
The Holy One, the great I Am.

Redeemer now enthroned on high
‘Til Father bids Him come; 
In light and glory He will descend
To take us home with Him.

But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in dazzling clothing; and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” — Luke 24:1-7

So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. — Mark 16:19

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.” — John 14:1-3

He lives! He reigns! And He’s coming back!
