Past This Moment
Hello Friends,
None of us can see past this moment. But whatever we face, whatever lies around that next bend, our Lord knows. He carries us this moment, and He will carry us in all the next moments.
I wrote the following poem for my dad (and for me) after his diagnosis of lung cancer back in early 2000. But whatever you are facing, whatever worries come your way, the same truths are applicable. May these words bring you assurance of the Savior’s presence.
Dear God
I can’t see past this moment
Past the fear I feel inside
I don’t know what’s going to happen
So in You I will abide.
You are my place of safety
My stronghold in the storm
Should the winds batter against me
I’ll rest in You protected and warm.
You haven’t shown me what tomorrow brings
So I must not need to know
You will direct my steps one by one
And lead me where I should go.
As we walk this path together
You’ll catch me when I fall
And when we reach the finish line
I’ll know You did it all.

Be to me a rock of strength,
A stronghold to save me.
Psalm 31:2
In Christ,
Janice

Thank you Janice. For His children, those who profess Faith in Him, He is our Rock and Redeemer. Praise God.
Yeshua...only begotten Son of YAHWEH is the ONLY ROCK to which I cling...each and every moment of each and every day. Forget about a "piece of the rock" (from an old Prudential ad)!!
