One of my favorite hymns that we sing in our church.

Stunning sunset Janice.

It’s hard to even imagine what awaits us. 🙏🏻

Nice work on your iMovie! It turned out beautiful. I was bummed it was so short it felt like it ended abruptly. 😆 More. More. Morrrre! 😄

I should’ve added in the hundreds of more sunset pics I have on my camera roll. I’ll get there when I have more time! I’m having a local book premier party Monday night and have been preparing for that as well as working on other projects for the book, so I shouldn’t have even gone down the video creation rabbit trail. But here we are. 😀

I am discovering over the past 30 years, that so many people with whom I have connected on a spiritual level (Christians, that is) live in OK--is this truly "God's country", Janice?

BTW...I received your "My Jesus" devotional today and it is so beautifully printed and bound--I will cherish it always - especially the words contained within its covers. I checked out the publisher you used "Barbour" - how did you decide on them and I learned they require authors have "agents" before they will look at a manuscript. Who is your literary agent? The reason I'm asking is my DIL, Tracy Slonaker, self-publishes and sells on Amazon--but if she could become aligned with a publisher like Barbour--her reading 'audience' would be enlarged greatly.

Always in His agape love,

Sharon

I forgot to answer your question about Oklahoma. I have only ever lived in Missouri and Oklahoma, so I can't compare it to other places by experience. But it is home, as we have lived here longer than anywhere else, and this is where my people are--except for one daughter who had the audacity to move to Indiana last year! Conservative, always goes completely red in presidential elections. Like everywhere, there are some nutcases, but maybe not as highly concentrated as in other states. :)

Hi Sharon,

I'm so glad you got your book! Thank you for your sweet words!

Barbour published my previous books in 2010, which were done on a freelance basis. Back then they accepted submissions through their website, so I sent in a few samples, and they basically hired me to write "Blessings for Mothers" and contribute to "Blissfully Blended." For the My Jesus book, I hired Typewriter Creative Co. to design and format it, and they handled the uploading to Amazon and IngramSpark. They were great to work with and helped make the book look professional rather than self-published. I am very pleased with their work.

I wanted to get the book published and not mess around with trying to get noticed by a publishing house, so I went the self-publishing route. I also wanted complete control and rights over the design and content, which I did not have on the freelance project. I hope this helps!

Blessings - Janice

So, the info I got on Barbour is fallacious as it stated Barbour requires authors to work through literary agents.

Thanks so much for responding t\so quickly.

How did your artist daughter get involved with a "traveling troupe" of mural artists? How far does she travel with this group and what 'style' is she depicting in the murals she creates?

Barbour probably does require it now, but 15 years ago they did not.

My daughter’s partnership is her and her husband. 🥰 They paint whatever the clients want! They are both artists and their styles and talents complement each other nicely.

Sharon, this Airbnb is a recent project they completed. Their work is the wall with the name of the unit along the entry into the living area and kitchen, with the trees and mountains. The very last photo at the bottom is a detail of a canoe that I think is awesome. My daughter also freehands all the lettering. https://www.airbnb.com/l/nalL5mqU

WOW--how much does it cost to stay in this 'uber uniquely designed' home? Looks like it's part of a 'development' of similar homes!! At one time Branson was very poorly organized as far as the ingress/egress from all points NESW or Missouri. A client of mine went there for the entertainment/resort value back in the late 1990's and was VERY disappointment with the poor highway system (unable to handle the huge amount of resort traffic) plus the sewage and water facilities of Branson were overloaded so badly that they were dumping UNTREATED sewage into the river (I guess it's the Missouri River?). That was over 20 years ago...so perhaps the engineering lassitude has been corrected.

Your daughter is very, very gifted and now she has a career in "creative" pursuits--how wondrous is that!!!

You have what 7 children, Janice...how many of them are married now?

JEHOVAH JIREH indeed!!
